The THINK! Road Safety Community Grants Program helps South Australian organisations promote
road safety in their communities.

We support initiatives that make a real difference by improving safety on and around our roads.

Successful grant recipients for 2025-2026

Thank you to everyone who submitted an application for a road safety grant.

As expected, we received a large number of applications, and the assessment process was competitive.

Every applicant has now been notified regarding the outcome of their proposal. More information about the successful projects will be provided in the coming months.

Asian Community Services

This project supports delivery of bilingual road safety education for people from culturally diverse backgrounds.

Australian Migrant Resource Centre

This project supports delivery of culturally safe, tailored road safety education to assist newly arrived and established migrant communities understand Australian road rules, regulations, and safe road behaviours.

Bridgewater Primary School

This project supports road safety education for young children and their parents and caregivers. It will also promote active travel options for journeys to and from school.

City of Salisbury

This project will equip children and other vulnerable road users, including recently immigrated families, with essential road safety knowledge and safe cycling skills.

City of Victor Harbor

The project supports delivery of safe transport options via shuttle buses and subsidised rail tickets   for patrons of the 2026 Victor Harbor Rock ‘n’ Roll Festival.

Eastside Rams Sporting Association

This project will integrate culturally relevant road safety education into the Association’s ‘Stronger Together Road Safety Tournament’.

First Aid for Motorcyclists

This project will provide subsidised or no-cost accredited first aid training for motorcyclists, equipping participants with specialist knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively in the event of a motorcycle crash.

Get Home Safe Foundation

The project will fund the production of road safety education materials to be supplied to driving instructors across South Australia.

Logging Investigation & Training Association (LITA)

This project will support the ‘LITA Training Driver Mentor Program’, which helps learner drivers in regional South Australia meet licensing requirements by pairing them with trained volunteer mentors and providing access to a safe vehicle.

Marree Aboriginal School

This project will deliver the ‘Marree Youth Safe Moves Program‘, providing culturally inclusive road safety education to school students.

Pedestrian Council of Australia

This project will support the South Australian delivery of the national ‘Walk Safely to School Day’ event.

Uniting Country SA

This project supports the expansion of culturally safe and inclusive driver training across Whyalla, Port Augusta and Port Pirie.

Valley View Secondary School

This project supports delivery of ‘Safe Journeys 365 Program' in school, helping students with disabilities learn how to stay safe on the road and confidently use public transport.
