Players from Adelaide 36ers, Adelaide Lightning and Adelaide United are all on the same team when it comes to road safety, sharing one important message—make getting home safe your goal.
While we might not be playing on the court or field helping our teams score goals, we can make the decision to get ourselves and our friends and family home safe after a game.
Whether you’re cheering on your team in person, or watching at the local pub or a friend’s house – remember to plan ahead.
Consider catching public transport or sharing a ride as a safer alternative to taking your own car.
If you’re having a drink, make sure you pass your keys to a designated driver.
And if you’re that designated driver, stay focused. Using your phone, eating – or even talking game tactics – all takes your attention away from the road. There isn’t any room to lose focus when your mates are depending on you.
